Steelheads Now 2-0

Mississauga Steelheads 2-0 After Home Victory over Peterborough

The Steelheads continue to impress with another preseason victory over the Peterborough Petes. Mississauga hosted the Petes at Port Credit Arena on Sunday in front of a packed house, marking their first home exhibition game of the season.

Andrew Goldberg scored 2 goals with Justin Rasmussen, and import draft pick Sam Babintsev scoring one each. The chemistry between Goldberg and Babintsev was impressive, with Babintsev assisting on both of Goldberg’s goals to lead the Steelheads to a 4-2 victory over the Petes. If their skill sets continue to compliment each other, they will be a pair to watch out for this season.

The Steelheads have made a promising debut so far in the preseason, getting tons of support from the local community. It's bound to be an exciting hockey season in Mississauga as the Steelheads look to continue their performance.

Catch more Steelheads preseason action live at Iceland Arena Wednesday, September 5th at 7:00pm as they take on the Guelph Storm in their second matchup of the 2012 preseason. Tickets will be available on location prior to the game.
